Internship: 2024 PGA Intern

TPC River Highlands is a private golf course located in Cromwell, CT, just outside of Hartford. TPC River Highlands’ championship golf course hosts the PGA TOUR’s Travelers Championship, the largest professional sports event in Connecticut. Along with the world renowned golf course, TPC River Highlands opened a brand-new state of the art 40,000 square foot clubhouse in 2019, featuring three event spaces, covered patios, two full kitchens, and an outdoor event lawn, capable of hosting events from 12-person private dining to 500-person events.

We are currently looking for an intern to learn and assist in the Golf Operations department.

The TPC Golf Operations Internship is designed to provide future PGA Professionals with a hands-on, practical learning experience in both golf operations and professional golf tournament management. The Program offers candidates the opportunity to gain the supervised work experience necessary to achieve PGA of America Membership, as well as the knowledge and experience to become the future TPC Network Assistant Golf Professionals.

Interns are placed into one of three program levels, corresponding with the student's progress in his or her Professional Golf Management program and/or PGA of America program. Although each internship level has varying responsibilities, all internships are built on the TPC Vision, Mission and Values, as well as a commitment to service excellence.

• Ability for additional income from clinics, re-gripping, and private instruction.
• Heavy responsibilty of merchandise management for 2024 Travelers Championship
• 60% of time will be spent in the golf shop with the other 40% being comprised of instruction, tournament operations and merchandising and playing golf
• Numerous courses in the area that have reciprocity to play golf. 
• Encourage interns to utilize our practice facility and play golf with members. 
• Will help coach the interns to help pass the PAT
