Experience Required

High School diploma or equivalent required

PGA Member or PGA Associate (Level 2 or 3) preferred, desire to enter the PGA Associate Program is required

Essential Responsibilities

This position is responsible for delivering the Cliffs' Member/Guest experience through interaction with both staff and golfers each day. The Assistant Professional must communicate in a clear and courteous manner and act as a professional at all times. 

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Participate as a leader of our outside staff by displaying a "Go First" attitude and hold all staff accountable for our Standards of Operation
  • Coordinate daily starter schedule as well as on-course service laps and play an active role in delivering those services
  • Work as a member of the golf shop staff by assisting members with tee times, tournament registration, purchasing merchandise, and all other duties of the golf shop staff
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the management team and communicate with other team members regarding policies and standards
  • Responsible for opening and closing the golf operation and managing staffing levels
  • Play with members and guests of all skill levels when requested
  • Participate in the hiring, ongoing training, and evaluation of outside golf staff under the direction of the Senior Assistant
  • Design, develop, and execute member tournaments and weekly Men's and Ladies' golf groups throughout the season
  • Assist other Cliffs clubs with special events and staffing when requested
