Our Story

Williamsburg National Golf club has gone through an amazing transformation since new ownership took over in 2016. Today, Williamsburg National is known for exceptional course conditions and a unique welcoming atmosphere. Williamsburg National hosts several well recognized VSGA and other large amateur association events. Our 1607 Grill has become one of the most popular casual restaurants in Williamsburg. Williamsburg National has one of the most welcoming and fun atmospheres you will find anywhere.

In 2022, Williamsburg National was recognized as the Public Golf Leader by the National Golf Course Owners Association (Middle Atlantic Chapter). We are proud of the progress we have made and the recent acknowledgement of our success. We are not done. Club leadership is excited about the culture and environment we are building not only for our golfers but for our employees as well.

Our Culture & Work-Life Balance

We are known as #1 in fun by our members and guests because we have an energized and engaged team. Ownership and management take a lot of pride in creating a great place for employees to work, learn and grow. We also understand the importance of work life balance especially in the hospitality industry. The management team predominantly works 5-day work weeks including rotating weekends off.  Williamsburg National and club professional Claudia Ferrini PGA/LPGA were recently featured in PGA Magazine about the value placed on work life balance at Williamsburg National.
