Assistant Golf Professional/PGM Internship

Overview

Your internship will provide knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Tee Time Management - check-in, fee collection, opening/closing the Shop and effective tee time scheduling
  • Merchandise Management – inventory control for in-shop and custom orders, POS system input, ordering and receiving, pricing, display and sales promotion
  • Tournament/League operations – planning, contract preparation, post-event billing, event promotion, course set-up, scoring, prize distribution and participant follow-up
  • Golf Instruction – conducting individual and group golf lessons, assisting with player development (Depending on Experience) 
  • Outside Service Management – managing golf cart operations, practice facilities and working with staff to ensure customer service standards are met or exceeded
  • Club Fitting/Repair – providing basic repair and club fitting services to guests

Experience Required

  • Prior golf operation experience a plus, but not mandatory. Looking for an enthusiastic, career motivated individual with a passion for golf. Must be customer service oriented. PGA level 1 or higher preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Tournament Operations: planning, coordination, setup, implementation
  • Golf Shop Operations: merchandise management, POS and tee time management, sales, inventory control, club repair
  • Golf Instruction: clinic assistance, junior golf instruction
  • Daily Operations: working with Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to ensure total operational efficiency
