The Ridge Golf Club is a hidden gem in Northwest Iowa. This family friendly, semi-private facility boasts an immaculately maintained 18-hole golf course.  In 2012 The Ridge was named the Iowa Golf Course of the year. PGA Jr. League plays a very important role in the culture at The Ridge, with 270+ participants and multiple leagues. The Ridge PGA Jr. League had the 8th highest participation in the nation in 2022, and increased numbers in 2023. Junior and family golf has helped to increase the rounds played at The Ridge in recent years. This fall a short course, called “Lil Wispy”, and Himalaya putting green, will break ground. This new short course is designed by the original course designer of The Ridge, Jerry Slack & Associates, and built by Landscapes Unlimited. Lil Wispy will be a great addition to the facility and offer more golf opportunities for both members and guests.

Daily Golf Shop Administration

Ensure the proper procedures are being followed with regards to the accurate management of the Club’s Policy & Procedures Manual, Opening & Closing Procedures and general member and guest services.

Tournament & League Administration

Create, develop, and oversee the successful promotion of the Club’s tournament and league programs.  Ensure the satisfaction of the members and guests by providing a well-organized and entertaining event that appeals to a diverse audience. Lead all aspects of league administration and lean on the Director of Golf for support and guidance. Enlist the assistance of golf staff personnel and delegate duties and responsibilities. 

Growth of the Game & Lesson Program Development

Work alongside Director of Golf and Teaching Professional in the creation of new and exciting lesson programs and clinics to bring new players to the game as well as continue to develop the skills of existing players.  Increase the student’s enjoyment of the game so they will spend more time playing golf. 

Manufacturers Demo Days & Club Fitting

Coordinate the scheduling of Demo Days with Manufacturer Sales Representatives. Be an active participant in the Demo Day process through promotion, setting appointments, and assisting in the Demo Day experience.  Maintain an expert level of club fitting knowledge through continuing education and interaction with equipment manufacturers.

Website Maintenance & Digital Marketing

Work in conjunction with the Director of Golf and Head Professional in maintenance of The Ridge Golf Club website that will enhance the communication experience.  Develop ways to drive more people to The Ridge through use of electronic messaging and marketing.

Outside Operations Management

Ensure the most efficient operational standards.  Goal is to provide the highest level of member services by creating an environment of pride and camaraderie.

Merchandising

Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional in the receiving, displaying, and selling of merchandise.  Support the corporate sales initiatives and manage the special orders to ensure orders are completed and membership is communicated with on status and delivery of orders.
