Founded in 1919, Inglewood Golf Club (IGC) is rich in tournament history and tradition. A private, member owned club with non-profit status. We are looking for a "team-minded, service-oriented", golfer or golf professional to join our team of PGA professionals. The successful applicant will have experience with the game of golf, and interest in making the profession a lifetime commitment!  Definite interest and commitment to learning and growing as an individual and professional.  "Member-centric" service is vital for success, along with at least some experience with equipment fitting, technology and related teaching systems.  The candidate should possess an outgoing personality, and a willingness to learn all aspects of Golf Genius Software, Club Esstential Software, Club Repair, etc.

The Director of Golf, Mike Gove, is a PGA professional with over 34 years of experience at two (2) private club HP/DOG positions.  Having seen eight professionals moving onto their own Head Professional positions.  .

This position is an opportunity to join the Golf Professional Staff at Inglewood Golf Club along with the excellent team at the club.  The ideal candidate will want to work towards PGA membership and someday a Head Golf Professional position. We will develop and assist your ability to lead people utilizing your personality and strengths.

Experience Required

  • Golf experience as a golfer, willingness to work as part of a team and puts the team before self.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
  • Competent Player: passionate about his/her game, motivated to learn and improve. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist the Golf Professional team in all aspects of the daily operation. 
    • Outside Services
    • Daily Course & 1st Tee management 
    • Member Services 
    • Merchandising 
    • Junior Golf & Player Development
    • Tournament/Event Operations
    • Minor Club Repair
    • Commitment to the family of Inglewood Golf Club.
  1. Must learn member names and anticipate needs and expectations. 
  2. Be knowledgeable and aware of Club activities. 
  3. Must be willing to develop skills and leadership qualities to become a future Head Golf Professional.
  4. Handle a fast-paced environment, and multi-task.
