Greensboro Country Club is a private 36-hole facility located in central North Carolina, and one of the top clubs in the Triad region including Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem. Greensboro CC offers golf, tennis, swimming, fitness and dining to its membership with an emphasis on activities for the whole family. It has a unique setting as a private, member-owned club with two championship golf courses and facilities eight miles apart. The Irving Park Course, a Donald Ross design was founded in 1909, joined by the Farm Course renovated in 2010 to be awarded Renovation of the Year by Golf Magazine. 1,300 club members play 45,000 rounds of golf at both facilities.
Our goal as a professional staff is to grow rounds, stimulate member engagement and promote club usage. The staff creates activities for all members of the family, provide instruction, administer fun and competitive golf events, offer custom golf club fitting and present a good selection of merchandise in each of the two golf shops.
The role of the Assistant Golf Professional is varied. This individual will be involved in all aspects of the golf operation from daily interaction with members, golf shop operations, tournament operations, merchandising, men's, women's and junior golf and assist in the supervision of the outside service staff. Teaching in Junior Operation 36 and club fitting will also be significant areas of responsibility.
