Assistant Golf Shop Manager and Golf Instructor

Solid Impact Golf Center, located in Wood River, IL, is a 24-acre golf practice facility designed for family enjoyment and serving our local community for over 20 years. We offer a full-service discount golf shop with the latest golf clubs, balls, and accessories from top manufacturers. Our Golf Practice Facility features both covered/heated artificial turf tees and two uncovered grass hitting areas, Two Indoor golf simulators, a putting/short game area, and an 18 Hole miniature golf course.

• Prior experience with individual and group golf instruction is highly recommended, as a significant portion of your additional income will be derived from your personal lesson business.
• Knowledge of golf clubs/products, club fitting, and launch monitors is preferred but not required.
• We seek individuals with a positive, energetic personality, a deep love for golf, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Preferred qualifications include PGA Class A membership, Class B Associate membership, or a willingness to pursue PGA membership.

• Oversee and perform facility opening and closing procedures.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of all Point-of-Sale operations and applications.
• Assist in various aspects of merchandise operations, including purchasing, ordering, receiving, pricing, display, and other necessary duties.
• Provide club repair services, including regripping, reshafting, and loft/lie adjustments.
• Help coordinate and execute marketing efforts on social media and digital platforms, such as Facebook/Instagram posts and email blasts.
• Become an expert in new golf club technology and assist customers in making informed club purchasing decisions.
• Pursue club fitting education certifications offered by manufacturers like Ping, Mizuno, and Callaway.
• Conduct individual golf club fittings for woods, irons, wedges, and putters.
• Assist in supervising and training hourly shop and outside maintenance staff.
• Develop strong connections with coworkers and customers.
• Coordinate and organize special events, such as fitting days and customer appreciation events.
• Promote Solid Impact Golf and your lesson business through open communication with friends, family, acquaintances, and the local community.
