Assistant Golf Professional

Do you love golf and working with people all day? Come to work and enjoy the view! The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge seeks an outgoing, positive, self-starter to join our Golf Operations Team!

We are looking for an energetic leader with the ability to foster member satisfaction, promote the game and the activities and programs the club has to offer.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least two year of experience working in the golf department of a club or facility
• Enrollment in PGA PGM Program preferred

• THE BRASS TACKS

  • Develop and foster a culture to ensure member and guest satisfaction
  • Promote the game of golf
  • Get to know the members and learn their names and personal preferences
  • Help utilize procedures to recruit, train, schedule and supervise outside service staff
  • Maintain all standards set forth by Columbia Hospitality
  • Assist with merchandising operations including special orders and monthly inventory
  • Oversee all phases of the outside operation in conjunction with the Head Golf Professional. Areas include cart fleet, bag room, driving range, on course amenities & member greeting station
  • Lead the outside services staff and ensure they have the proper appearance, are working safely, assisting the membership and completing their duties efficiently and taking proper care of club equipment
  • Work in conjunction with the club’s other co-workers to promote and ensure member satisfaction in a proactive fashion
  • Act as a starter and on course player assistant as assigned
  • Work with the Golf Shop Assistants to ensure they are serving the members, working efficiently and assisting the membership

  THE NITTY GRITTY

  • Possess excellent verbal communication and people relations skills
  • Must possess strong customer service skills and remain calm and work effectively in stressful situations
  • Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations and hold the team accountable through performance counseling
  • Must possess a general understanding of pace of play, golf terminology and rules
  • Able to stand for minimum of two hours
