Gordon Lakes Golf Club is one of the finest golf courses in the South. The original 18 holes were designed and built in 1976 by Robert Trent Jones Senior, the world renowned golf course architect. The Pine View side was designed by Ault and Clark Associates and opened for play in 2002.

The course features 81 bunkers and cutouts inside Georgia pines and other native trees. The course offers a practice range, practice putting and chipping greens. Also available are rental clubs, pull carts, lockers, electric carts and a well-stocked pro shop.
The club has an active tournament program, handicap services, Bogey's Grill restaurant (open for lunch during the week – including Mondays) and offers instruction for beginners as well as advanced golfers. The golf course has the Visage GPS System.
