Compensation: $22.57 - $37.00 Per Year

Total Anticipated Compensation Up To: $130,000.00

This position is located at TAIYO GOLF CLUB, OKINAWA JAPAN. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a TAIYO GOLF CLUB PROGRAM MANAGER.

SPECIAL NOTE - This position could be located at Camp Foster, Hansen, Schwab, Kinser or Courtney based on MCCS Management needs.

SPECIAL NOTE - This position is an overseas assignment tour of duty which may include Transportation Agreement, Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Post Allowance, Environmental Morale Leave (EML), Home Leave and the following benefits:

Experience Required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must  possess  at  least  8  years  of  experience  reflecting  professional  knowledge  of  golf  course operations, superintendent functions and environmental management.
  2. A comprehensive understanding of the principles of golf course design, construction and renovation.
  3. Experience in the active promotion of the sport of golf to a broad spectrum demographic.
  4. Being a “Class A” member of the Professional Golfers Association is required.
  5. Must have the ability to supervise employees of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  6. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  7. Must have extensive retail experience and the ability to manage a high-volume pro shop.
  8. Knowledge of  pertinent  golf  course safety matters and  occupational  health and  environmental regulations, to include those related to turfgrass chemical applications.
  9. Knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) policies and procedures is preferred but not required.
  10. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of 20 pounds may be required.
