Mineral Mound State Park, Eddyville, Kentucky

This peaceful setting on the shores of Lake Barkley is historically linked to the author F. Scott Fitzgerald and is the home of a highly regarded golf course designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan. 'The Cullan' Golf Course at Mineral Mound was opened in 2003 and has undergone renovations in recent years that has it regarded by golfers as one of the best courses in Western Kentucky. The park also features a boat ramp/dock and picnic area utilized by our guests.

While being a PGA Professional is not required for this position, this is a great opportunity for a PGA Professional to expand their experience into Park Management while maintaining their status with the PGA of America.

Our ideal candidate will:

Manage the daily operations of a busy golf course and park.
Hire, lead and support a team of employees.
Lead the merchandising, food and beverage operation and golf related revenue activities.
Provide fiscal oversight and budget management.
Lead local marketing efforts and serve as a steward to the community as a representative of Kentucky State Parks.

Minimum Requirements:

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of business, administrative or management experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional related experience will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 20 years and one day of age at time of employment. Must obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within six months of employment. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
