Assistant Golf Professional

The Dominion Club, a premier private club in Glen Allen, Virginia and part of Heritage Golf Group. Since being purchased by Heritage Golf Group, the Club has undergone numerous captial improvement projects around the club, including a complete driving range rennovation, new golf course amenities, and rennovation of dining areas in the clubhouse. The Club has a very active membership of over 500 golfing members, along with a fully-packed events and tournament schedule. 

As Assistant Golf Professional at The Dominion Club, your role involves supporting every aspect of the operations of the faciltiy while providing exceptional customer service and assisting in various aspects of golf management. This opportunity stands out as the individual will have the chance to customize the job to align with their strenths and preferences, ensuring a tailored fit for their skills and aspirations. 

- PGA associate working toward membership.

- Previous experience at private clubs with a focus on customer service.

- Proficiency in Golf Genius and Jonas preferred, but not required. 

- Experience with golf instruction and the ability to teach players of different skill levels. 

- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, work ethic, and desire to learn.

- Collaboration with member golf groups such as WGA, MGA, Sr. Men's Golf.

- Planning and executing major golf calendar events and Monday outings (approx. 20 outings per year). This individual will take the lead on Monday outings. 

- Leading and overseeing the Golf Shop staff to ensure high levels of service standards to the membership.

- Work directly with Director of Instruction to plan and execute weekly/monthly clinics, junior programming and summer camps.

- Provide private instruction to members. The club owns a Trackman and indoor Trackman IO unit. 

- Oversee all Golf Shop operations, including merchandising sales and inventory management with Golf Shop Manager

- Work shifts in the Golf Shop when required. 

- Practice and play golf with members on a regular basis.

- Maintains a visible and highly professional presence to the membership.

- Represent the club in local PGA section tournaments, pro-am's, and other tournaments. 

- Work/life balance schedule. Every other weekend off during offseason. One weekend off during season.
