Head Golf Professional

Falcon Lakes Golf Club, one of the top public courses in the state, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Head Golf Professional to oversee all aspects of the golf operation. This leadership role includes managing golf tournaments and leagues, providing exceptional customer service, supervising golf staff, conducting lessons and clinics, and maintaining the golf shop's operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for the game, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in golf management. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the overall golf experience at Falcon Lakes Golf Club while promoting the club's values and culture.

• Class A or working towards Class A PGA membership is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage golf operations effiecntly and effectively.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fundamaental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility and tournament operations.
• Self-motivated and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Experience in golf course retail, inventory management, and merchandising.
• Proficent in POS systems and golf-related software, specifically Golf Genius.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Able to maintain a service and customer focused attitude.

Golf Operations

• • Oversee and coordinate all golf operations including the POS and tee time system.
  • Execute golf tournaments, events, and leagues to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Track and verify all player fees are charged appropriately to provide accurate accounting and recordkeeping.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to members, public players, and visitors, ensuring a positive and memorable golf experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests to foster a sense of community and loyalty.
  • Adapt to new technology platforms to enhance operations, customer experience, and marketing.

Team Leadership and Management

• • Supervise and mentor a team of professionals and support staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll to ensure adequate coverage for all golf operations.
  • Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the golf shop and golf services.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of golf related budgets.
  • Attend monthly financial meetings with GM and Owner to review performance and profit goals.
  • Work closely with all department heads to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility
  • Coordinate plans with the Food and Beverage Manager for food and beverage needs for all golf functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Retail & Merchandising

• • Maintain a profitable golf merchandising operation.
  • Oversee development of buying plans and all golf related purchasing.
  • Supervise inventories and present a diverse array of equipment, apparel, and accessories.
  • Supervise and train all employees on POS to safeguard inventories and cash counts.
  • Maintain an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop.

Golf Instruction & Player Development

• • Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility.
  • Assist with golf instruction to players of all skill levels, including individual lessons and group clinics.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance the skills of all players and attract new players to the game.
