Overview

The Head PGA Pro oversees all aspects related to golf within X-Golf. Including, but not limited to individual & group lessons, golf club sales, club fittings, league management and execution, along with day-to-day store operations and duties as assigned.

Experience Required

RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated leadership including experience coaching.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Teaching Professional.
  • Proven record of providing superior member/guest service and staff training and development.
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
  • Driven and motivated in personal sales as well as personal growth and development.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities include management of staff and day-to-day operations at the facility. Golf lessons and package sales, teaching, and development as well as oversight of year around golf leagues. Management and collaboration regarding the golf shop for club fitting and retail sales. Continued oversight and maintenance of golf simulators required. Additional responsibilities overseeing facility and bar depending on availability.

  • Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to.
  • Selling golf lessons and packages.
  • Conducting golf lessons with individuals and occasionally groups.
  • Leadership duties include assisting the GM with training staff on the NEX Gen golf simulators.
  • Sell Golf Clubs, Golf Equipment, Gloves, Merchandise, etc.
  • Assist when possible or able, in club fitting sales.
  • Manage and monitor your email and assist with monitoring the company email inbox (info@xgolfperrysburg.com and info@xgolftoledo.com for golf related inquiries).
  • Performance of other management duties consistent with the Director of Golf position as requested by the owners.
  • Maintain all Golf Simulator Equipment regularly, cleaning, replacement parts, assisting with upgrades as needed.
  • Managing rental set inventory and club conditions
  • Assist in keeping the facility clean and following all state guidelines regarding social distancing.

The following criteria for this position must be met at all times:

  • Open to Close availability on all seven days per week. No workday is off in perpetuity, although we expect you to have a standard and consistent schedule. Golf Shows, events, league inception nights, may arise where you are needed on a non-regular day.
  • On-Call for any and all owner, employee, customer, vendor, and operational concerns or issues.
  • Expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on “the floor” either in place of an hourly Facilities Manager or giving lessons as the PGA Pro.
  • Understanding this position is not eligible for paid overtime although rare, at times, the need to work more than 40 hours per week may be necessary to the success of the business.
  • Create a work schedule to work across all shifts on all days of the week throughout the month to best understand the business and employee and customer needs. The Owners expect a heavy concentration of work to be logged during peak teaching hours which their experience suggests will be in the mornings and weekends.
  • Sell and give lessons exclusively under the X-Golf brand name.

PROJECTED TOTAL COMPENSATION: $45k salary annually plus up to $50k in commission, bonuses, and tips.

  • Annual salary will be $45,000.00 (paid bi-weekly)
  • Annual Jan 1-Dec 31 PGA PRO *-Net revenue bonus targets as follows:
    • $50K Net revenue $500
    • $100K Net revenue $1250
    • $150K Net revenue$2500
    • $200K Net Revenue $4,000
    • $250K Net Revenue $5,000

*-Net revenue-profit after standard business expenses and as shown and provided to X-Golf America via accounting services and reporting.

  • The bonuses will be paid at the end of each quarter in total of each level described above being achieved during that period.
  • There will all be an additional $5200 total annually, paid in $200 bi-weekly installments to assist with procuring outside benefits.
  • Director of Lessons and Training bonus of $5000 after selling your 1000th lesson in a calendar year.
  • Commission of $20 of all gross lesson revenue of the first 1-500 lessons you sell in a calendar year.
  • Commission of $25 of all gross lessons revenue of all lessons you sell after the 500th lesson in a calendar year.
  • Commission of 50% of net profit of all golf club fittings sold.
  • Commission of 50% of net profit of all golf club repairs sold.
  • Commission of 30% of net profit of all golf clubs sold.
  • Eligible for any customer paid tips while working on “the floor” in place of an hourly Facilities Manager.
  • 5 Paid Sick days per year.
  • 5 Paid Vacation days per year (10 days in year two beginning at one year anniversary).
  • No Mobile Phone Allowance or any other allowances at this time.
  • $500 Total annually toward tournaments and competitions.
  • PGA Member Annual Dues reimbursed while remaining in good standing with the association.
  • Must sign our Non-Compete Form.
