Position Summary
The Marketing & Operations Manager is an experienced golf administrator responsible for design and creation of marketing content and assists with operation of the OGA Championships, OJGT events, & USGA Qualifiers. The Marketing & Operations Manager has experience in tournament golf and the use of social media platforms. The position requires travel (30-50 days of year within state of Oklahoma), weekend work, and physical activities including lifting and extended periods outside.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing
- Produce website news articles, marketing emails, and graphics for social media and website
- Travel to Championships to capture and produce social content
- Creation and management of internal communications calendar
- Constant creation and management of: Website Content, Member E-mails (Welcome Communications, GHIN E-Revision, Event Reminders, Sponsors), Quarterly Newsletter, & Promotion of Golf Events within the State of Oklahoma
- Management of social media & media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Operations
- Assist with pre-tournament administration prep when needed such as equipment preparation, golf course marking, communication with host club, golf course set-up, updating website, etc.
- Perform on-site tournament administration duties such as equipment set-up, course setup, rules officiating, pace of play, starting, live scoring, and managing volunteers
- Assist in event communications with participants, volunteers, hosts, etc. before, during, and after events.
- Manage/maintain OGA equipment
- Perform other tasks and complete additional projects as assigned.
