Lochmoor Club Overview
Lochmoor Club is located in Metro-Detroit in the beautiful city of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI and was founded in 1917. Henry Ford’s son, Edsel, was a founding member, as were both the Dodge brothers. Walter J. Travis, a three-time U.S. Amateur Golf Champion, helped design the original course, and it was built by John H. Sweeney.
Lochmoor is a family-oriented club for all seasons with its 18-Hole Championship golf course, Lochmoor Athletic Center (The LAC), newly renovated Clubhouse in 2023, and pool. The LAC houses our Fitness Center (renovated 2023), Indoor Tennis and Pickleball Courts, and new Indoor Golf Center (2021) which incorporates four TrackMan Simulators, as well as indoor short range, putting green, practice green, bunker with real sand, and wedge hitting stations.
