Assistant Golf Professional

The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting in, and sometimes leading, activities relating to the management and execution of the of the club’s golf operations, including but not limited to member tournaments, outside staff service, golf shop, practice facilities, instructional programs, tee sheet management, human resource management and maintenance of golf equipment (carts, pickers, ball washers, etc.).

PGA Class A Professional preferred.

Prior Pro Shop experience worked as an intern and/or prior Assistant Golf Professional experience. 

• Promotion of the game of golf and promotion of Keene Trace Golf Club.
• Spreading hospitality, happiness, and good will among all members and their guests.
• Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guests.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the club.
• Work in the golf shop, including opening and closing shifts
• Learn, utilize, and be proficient in Club Essential and Golf Genius Software’s.  
• Assisting with leagues and tournaments for men, ladies, and juniors.
• Assist with the promotion, organization, and production of outings and outing sales.
• Assist, as needed, with teaching group clinics for men, ladies, and juniors.
• Assist in hiring, training, and supervision of all inside and outside personnel.
• Assist with merchandising duties including ordering, receiving, processing invoices, displaying, and inventory control.
• Assist in training staff on new products, procedures, and pricing.
• Assist in scheduling golf shop and outside services in accordance with payroll budget.
• Assist with keeping the cart fleet in good operating condition and proper turning of the carts.
• Communicate with the membership through newsletters, emails, push notifications and letters.

As an employee of Keene Trace Golf Club, it is understood that any job necessary to make the Club operate may be a part of your job requirement. The Assistant Golf Professional reports to the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf.
