Golf Instructor

CitySwing is an indoor golf studio located in downtown DC. We are a fast-growing startup aiming to change the culture of golf and make the game more inclusive. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for professional, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to join our team and help us reach the next level. 

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Golf Professional to join our team. The Golf Professional will play a key role in day-to-day operations at the facility and bar. Their main duties will revolve around golf lesson sales, teaching, and development, as well as oversight of year-round golf leagues and retail sales. Providing exceptional golf instruction and understanding member needs with the ultimate goal of growing the membership base, and delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for golf, excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of our sales funnel and a commitment to promoting the game of golf through teaching and mentorship.

• Understanding the  golf swing and comfortability with teaching non-golfers, beginner, intermediate and advanced players
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of proper sequencing, swing dynamics and ball flight laws
• Must be able to analyze cause and effect of dysfunctional biomechanical patterns in the golf swing
• Launch monitor (Trackman, Flightscope, GC Quad, Full Swing etc) experience and proficiency is a plus. 
• Solid teaching acumen, must demonstrate positive and proactive coaching skills
• Ability to help drive and maintain monthly membership enrollments and satisfaction
• Ensure excellent guest experience by being responsive, follow up in a timely manner, and follow through on commitments
• Assist with internal and external CitySwing events in coordination with the sales team. Ensure execution of the event is efficient, professional and provides a great experience
• Customer Relations Management (CRM) system proficiency is a plus.
• Project a positive and favorable image for CitySwing at all times
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Assist in the planning and execution of off-site events, tournaments and leagues.
• Maintain studio facilities at an acceptable level
• Ensure proper safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA/WISHA and CitySwing guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Additional responsibilities include managing facility check-ins and check-outs bar  contingent on availability.
• Possess the ability to work within established guidelines and standards ensuring brand consistency for both CitySwing’s assigned properties
• Must maintain active teaching certification 
• Ability to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands
• The position may require lifting up to 50 lbs
