Assistant Golf Coach

Compensation: $25.00 - $60.00 Per Hour

Total Anticipated Compensation Up To: $30,000.00

Overview

Go Golf Academy continues to grow as we are looking for person(s) to be part of our team to specifically coach beginner and intermediate golfers and facilitate driving range operations. This opportunity begins in March and is either a position that ends late fall or could be extended to a year round position.

  •   Be an integral part of Go Golf Academy, a modern golf school along the Connecticut shoreline that specializes in growth of the game initiatives.
  •   Be an integral part of Fairways Golf. A 27 bay outdoor driving range with grass hitting area. 
  •   Be a part of our PGA Jr. League Programs that work with courses along the shoreline.
  •   Compensation includes a tier structure lesson commission structure for both private and group instruction, base pay (hourly), and potential for additional income through club repair.
  •   Work alongside 2017, 2019, and 2023 CT PGA Award Winner Josh Detmer, PGA

Experience Required

Experience Required

  •   Class A PGA/LPGA Professional with teaching and coaching experience 
  •   PGM Student, PGA Associate or LPGA Apprentice will be given strong consideration
  • Candidates who have worked at least 4 years in golf industry will also be considered but will require further teaching and coaching training to reach compensation listed 

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  •   Works closely with the Director of Instruction to plan and develop instruction programs
  •   Provides golf instruction to private students
  •   Assist in coaching junior and adult group clinics 
  •   Assistant Coach for PGA Jr. League teams
  •   Coach summer junior camps alongside other PGA coaches
  •   Assists in the supervision and upkeep of the facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout
  •   Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition
  •   Utilize state-of-the-art teaching studio and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video and club fitting into coaching as necessary
  •   Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program

  •   Perform some of the opening and closing duties of the range/shop
  •   Perform daily operational duties of the driving range and shop.
  • Perform other range duties as needed
