Assistant Professional

The job will be a seasonal six month position from May - October, optional housing available at no cost to the successful candidate.  SGC is an eighteen hole upscale private facility established in 1895.  Amenities include a range, practice putting green, short game area, tennis courts, and clubhouse.  Stockbridge Golf Club has a diverse membership that plays 12,000 rounds annually.  Individual must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to a career as a PGA professional.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Professional and be responsible for assisting in all facets of the golf operation.

• Candidate should be enrolled or consider enrolling in PGA Professional Golf Management Program and actively pursuing membership
• Prior experience in golf is preferred but not required

• Self-motivated and organized
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Direct and oversee outside operations and staff. Knowledge of how to manage a bag room, cart fleet, and range are mandatory
• Assist with junior golf program through clinics and camps
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, GHIN
• Assist with tournament operations and manage leagues
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Club repair
• Fundamental knowledge of the game and rules of golf
