Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life in 2023 and is seeking individuals that want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience.  

Experience Required

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in golf operations and/or retail management
  • PGA Member or Associate preferred
  • Experience using electronic tee sheets
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google software offerings
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment

Essential Responsibilities

  • The 1st Assistant will play a vital role in creating a positive work environment where Team Members are involved, enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering an amazing experience for our guests at Evermore.
  • Responsible for continually developing and implementing all service standards through proper hiring and training of the golf ops Team Members.
  • Responsible for learning the tee sheet and POS systems for both the golf shop and boathouse stores. Able to update rates, pricing and navigate the back-of-house components in each.
  • Conduct product knowledge courses for the retail Team Members as well as monthly sales contests.
  • Work closely with all other administrative and operational departments to ensure flawless execution and communication.
  • Order supplies in conjunction with the golf operations budget.
  • Make recommendations for hiring and manage the training/supervision of all inside staff for the golf shop and boathouse retail areas.
  • Create weekly schedules for the golf shop and boathouse team.
  • Respond to any guests’ communications within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Assist with month end inventory as needed.
  • Manage, train and motivate the retail teams to consistently provide outstanding customer service.
  • Administers and enforces all rules and regulations, policies and procedures as required by the company related to applicable team positions.
  • Assist Director of Golf/Head Professional with tracking of expenses and revenues.
  • Approve and oversee Team Members timesheet, PTO and missed punches for payroll accuracy.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Director of Golf, Golf Service Manager, Golf Sales Manager, Director of Golf & Sports Sales and the Golf Operations team to ensure the highest quality experience for our guests at the resort.
  • Create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the Conrad Orlando and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress teams.
  • All other duties as requested.
