Assistant Golf Professional

Nestled in the Farmington Valley, the Golf Club of Avon is a private club providing its members with a full range of family-oriented recreational and social activities.

Founded in 1925, the Golf Club of Avon has emerged from a 9-hole golf course to a full-service country club that now provides 27 holes of golf to challenge every golfer's ability, a racquet center featuring eight Har-Tru courts, four pickleball courts, and three paddle tennis courts, an Aquatic Facility featuring a heated pool with a zero entry level area and a diving well. Golf Club of Avon is currently celebrating its centennial year.

This role is a seasonal position with start and end dates negotiable (about 30 weeks).

Position Overview:

Golf Club of Avon is looking for a PGA or LPGA member, or an Associate Professional in good standing, who is eager to advance their career and work towards becoming a head golf professional. This position provides a great opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of golf operations and interact with an active membership.

• Provide a high level of customer service while assisting with all aspects of the golf operation.
• Participate in men’s and women’s tournament programs, golf shop, tournament operations, instruction programs, club fitting, merchandising, outings, daily charges, club repair, and playing golf with members.
